I describe myself as “a celebrant for rites of passage and culture change”. Alongside the ceremonial punctuation I provide for birth, marriage and death, I also support individuals and organisations in marking turning points in their respective evolutions.
The first wedding and the first funeral I conducted both occurred in 2012 when I was requested by friends to serve as a minister, something I took as a very great honour. Since my adolescence I have performed many functions as a public speaker because I’m able to find the right words when it counts. In the following years I conducted other funerals, weddings and ceremonial roles and subsequently qualified through the International College of Professional Celebrants.
Hosting countless events from weddings and funerals to festivals and concerts, I’ve also facilitated workshops and ceremonial settings for rites of passage.
As a father of three girls and one boy, I have been able to experience many of the trials and the challenges, the joys and the pleasures of family life. Working with many other children as well as my own, I have been able to see first hand, the power of family support, especially through the difficult challenges life can bring.
For years, I have studied communication and I have been entrusted to work as a mediator for couples as well as offering counsel to individual clients.
Other passions of mine include running, yoga, sea swimming and playing music.
