The Handyman

Helping Hands When You Need Them

Ashes to ashes… Dust to Sawdust

When I’m not wearing a suit…

Between services as a celebrant, I help people at home, solving their problems and fixing their practical issues, getting their houses to feel comfortable and to look beautiful. The application of my physical skills is often a welcome contrast to the familiar role of serving families as a celebrant.

I love the meditative simplicity of painting, I love the smell of sawdust and the satisfaction of working with wood. Repairing a roof or preparing a vegetable patch is just as meaningful to me as helping people navigate the hard times and the good times.

I’m very resourceful and always find neat solutions to problems… I avoid using excessive materials and really don’t like wastage. That being said… if a job’s worth doing, it’s worth doing properly… my dad and my grandad were both engineers and very handy about the house… men in whose footsteps I try to follow.

From ashes to ashes… and dust to sawdust. If you need practical help… you can use my calendly link for access to my live diary… book me in advance to reserve time to help with your home projects.

My Experience

After years of doing my own practical tasks around the house and accumulating a wide array of tools… I began to help others and now I find myself supporting others as a handyman.
